Today, only a few software components supporting TPMs are available, especially in the context of open-source operating systems such as Linux. We observed that many people, who would like to experience with a TPM, have many problems using the provided management software, i.e., libtpm and TrouSerS. Moreover, many open-source projects in the context of Trusted Computing lack support of TPM management.
Therefore, the goal of the “TPM Manager” project is the development of an open-source TPM management software providing an easy to use graphical user interface. In the first step, the TPM Manager will be developed under Linux, while later releases should also be usable as a dedicated PERSEUS application. The TPM Manager is published under the GNU GPL license v2.
